As a photographer living in Lofoten you are spoiled. Fantastic vistas, interesting culture, dramatic mountains and cliffs rising out of the sea. And the light. The amazing light and aurora.
I've been reasonably quiet (in a photographic sense) since I moved here. Mostly, as I restricted my work to cold weather expeditions. But I would be a fool to not document the incredible scenery that surrounds me. The area has a rich fishing history and many of the traditional practices are still used to this day.
Starting this year in either the Spring or Summer I will be working on a landscape project entitled Lofoten seasons; hoping to document these dramatic transitions.
